biker dash I read your comments and you need to do a lot more research on what you say. You have no clue. First in bring displacement and of course you can build a monster motor low compression and make 450. But the piston to rod ratio so far out motor won't last unless you idle the thing all...
OK I don't what going on. Higher octane will always make more power. The problem most people have not tuning for said ocatne level. For exmaple take nitro running top fuel cars and bikes. Now dump that in a stock max. Bike will not run. Nitro makes the most power but motor has to be set up for...
Re: My How TO: Wire up a VBoost On (stock functioning) and Fully open all the time sw
Yes that is my bike but video was for showing fix of oil leak (see the puddle next to the tire) when the bike got ho (read the threads)t. Ran bike sitting with fan off to show bike getting really hot. Notice...
Look you blend the fuel 2 gallons 93 to 1 gallon 110. The reason you burn up the 02 is motor runs more efficient timing & fuel make the motor too lean because the 87 dakota computer set to run poor gas not good stuff. Your max will run better but don't run straight 110 octane your jet setting...
Re: My How TO: Wire up a VBoost On (stock functioning) and Fully open all the time sw
OK if this is what you say is modified then let me ask you a question. When running the vboost open what is the top end of your bike running. Run your bike with the vboost on factory setting & you will find...
The reason why you bike runs cooler is due the ethenal (the moonshine) the govnerment forces us to run. The by product of burning (the moonshine) is water which cools the motor. The carbs get white residue inside the carb which eventually you have to clean out (use fuel stabilizer) helps...
Re: My How TO: Wire up a VBoost On (stock functioning) and Fully open all the time sw
Jwood is right having the vboost in the open position does not affect fuel mileage. The reason why is the carbs pull the same regardless. Either way my bike got the same fuel mileage. The advantage of truly...
The pick up coil should be checked when the bike quits running all together. One of the wires is breaking down when hot. That was the only way I found out my pick coil was bad.
Your problem is the magnet triggers on the flywheel. Their are 3 wires and one is breaking down when the bike is hot. Check the 3 wires that go to the flywheel not your wires for your charging system. I had this problem a few years ago I will save you a lot of time & money. Note check these...
There is a kit out there on the net that has the clutch push rod seal. I got my kit from local bike shop. But you can order the seal by itself. The Yamaha replacement seal is under 5 bucks with tax. Just go to like Bike Bandit & type in the search engine clutch push rod seal and their should be...
I assume engine headed to New York they are going to John PCW Racing. Talk to John for a good setup. Also with the cams you will have to change springs depending on how much lift you want. Once again John can help.
Don't buy new one rebuild the one you have so long as the piston & housing are in good condition. The rebuild kit is under 30 bucks. If you rebuilt the master cylinder then the slave will not be so hard. See my post in oil weep thread I have picture of the clutch slave cylinder.

Glad to see you got to see the pics & video. Note in the video the oil spot next to the rear tire was how much oil I lost with leak. Anyway hopefully it fixes your problem as well. Send pics if you have any other questions or concerns. I will check the site from time to time.
