has anyone tried lowering the gen II front forks internally by cutting the spacers? in my parts diagram i only see a top spacer that rides on a spring seat on top off the spring was wandering if cutting this spacer would lower the front??
if anyone's tried it let me know how it worked...
well i think i'am goning to keep the max!!! i just had a feeling and vision off twin turbo's with nitrous over the winter
what do you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes i;am still in the process off tunning the progressive nitrous controller controlling wheel spin etc. plus i'am 260 lbs all suited up if put a 125 pound jockey on there and this bike may be in the high 8's but i have no bids so if it dosen't sell i'am keeping it and i'am goning down to...
cylinder bores are perfect nos does not effect the motor when properly tune on a dyno
the bike had 200 street miles before hitting the track oil changed after every race using yamalube synthetic compression is perfect
i had some real bad 60 ft times were talking 1;90 and 2;05 because off the drive by wire and the stepper motors on the butterflies i have had tim nash to reflash my ecu so the butterflies will go wide open at the hit off the throttle haven't been to the track yet sense the reflash but i'am...
i made 206.32 rwhp and 172.92ft lb torque with a 40 shot i'am now at a 70 shot. bike weighs 501lbs all carbon fiber ran 6.83@126mph in the 1/8 and 9.83@156 1/4
still working up towards a 100 shot little by little, and had my ecu reflashed plus many other mods!!

ok i'am getting ready to do my first recall on the 09 vmax got two to do! simple fix, have to remove everything down to the throttle body's then route a new harness to the aps and to the tps sensor, then remove the old harness pins from the ecu and put the new harness pins in and cut the old apc...
yes its compareable to a inline four with a ton off torque! torque is instant at hit off throttle and pulls hard from 4000 rpm on. i have many hours on the dyno with my gen 2 dragbike and i airshift at 9500rpm. no reason to take it pass 9500rpm
you need to e-mail tim nash at vmaxguru.com and talked with him he can reflash your ecu what is killing your 60 ft times is the varaible throttle valve.
any time you drop below 6000rpm stepper motors take over your throttle butterflies and open them slowly and eventhough your wide open throttle...
hi your built in speed limiter kicks in at 147mph if the ecu feels your on a 1/4 mile run by monitoring your throttle it will give you about 5mph more about 152mph
i have a speed healer on my drag bike so i divided top speed by half so if i'am running 170mph my ecu thinks i'am running 85mph...
just in the idle and the reving of the throttle you can tell the difference. the v-max was d-tune to get it into the usa and the way yamaha did this is no two cylinder's make power at the same time when1 and 4 are making full power 2 and 3 are a little down on power when 2 and 3 are making full...
just got my ecu back from tim nash .had it reflashed to do away with the variable throttle butterfly control problem. the throttle butterflys will now follow my throttle grip even if my rpm drops below 6000 rpm also had some timming taken out to spray more nitrous.
hope to get to test and tune...
i work at yamaha off millington service manager and sponsored by them so i get the parts their, i'am goning to try it i feel i need to up grade the bolts though go to a harden #9 bolt i'am starting to get above a 70 shot on the nos and i just put some new barnett clutch plates in i'am trying to...
