I know a lady friend of my G.F. , who got her handicapped parking plate / decal while undergoing hip surgery 4 years ago. She still uses it. Do I call her out and risk the ire with my G.F. , or let her handle it ?

If you figure any cost at all into the labor of removing all 4 motor mounts , replacing them and then add the cost of them , I believe you'll find the frame braces are cheaper and can even be made by a local machine shop. I have heard of the issue about vibration from some , not all , who...

Sounds like you are on your way to good handling. The frame , forks and swing arm all need bracing of some sort. I did all 3 with USD front forks , frame braces and a notched and braced swing arm.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. Frame braces will take the place of solid motor mounts and are a Helluva lot easier to install.
