After such a shitty disastrous week of hell, I feel happier I got my cover back and it's a little different than before. I'll go the same way with the tail .

After reading here and looking at VMax Outlaw Site. Oh and getting some beer! I started removing my fuel tank. I have came to realize that this is a pain in the ass! But I had fun doing it! Keep you all posted! Thanks for all the good info guys!

My new fuel tank and carb diaphram arrived from cheapcycleparts.com on tues.All Yamaha factory parts way less expensive than the dealership.Very happy with their service,Installed the tank and diaphram and the bike run great.Has anyone else dealt with them and if so was it good or bad.:eusa_dance:

Has anyone experienced any fuel starvation issues as the fuel level in the tank gets closer to reserve and then progressively worse as the level drops?

how does the fuel tank come out?I would'nt say it's rusted but I can see a few clumps of something laying in the bottom that i'd like to get out.thanks

I removed my tank to apply the KBS Tank Sealer. It is not difficult if you follow the instructions, just a little time consuming. I have attached a copy of the instructions. Might be a good idea to make this a "sticky".

Just got the rubber moulding piece that apparently mounts along the top edge of the faux tank between the tank and the tach. But I haven't figured out how it's supposed to go. Can someone take a pic of this rubber part on their tank so I can see how it goes?

I'm repainting the bike and want to have the Yamaha logos back (bike came without them). Are the tank logos decals or are they plastic badges that have to be glued on? What do you guys recommend?

Before I put my 85 Max in storage it was just tuned and running better than ever. Unfornunately I left half a tank of gas in it for 7 years. What is the minimum that should be done before running it?
