Make a spare template so if anyone wants to do this in the future! I could get it converted to catia and have some brackets nc cut out as well.

Got the fjr spindle machined as per xs1100 thread. ...fits perfecr.
There is a small lip after the bearing on the right side of the arm...with this gone I can use a 52 28 12 bearing with a 28/20 collar and get the arm over to the right a bit morethus lining up the wheel perfectly central

Didn't need to remove the lip..the 12mm bearing does the job...all I did was put it into the arm and file the ali down to flush with the steel (cheap bearing for mock up).
The plate was attached 205mm from right inside pivot point...arm is only 200 but this gave me room to align it properly.
The shaft is straight out of the UJ and the max diff fitted. As the wheel was already 'offset correct' it all lines up a treat. :eusa_dance: :eusa_dance: :eusa_dance:

love this thread. whats the plan to 'enclose' the ujoint?

It's looking real good so far!!

Are you going to put any extra frame bracing in? the center of that frame strut doesn't look supported from above or below

Looking good so far! We're working on the 3d Model of the bracket right now and will use a waterjet to cut it out. We're also going to cut out some of the extra material in the center of the bracket making it a little lighter while keeping the strength.

What is the length of the FJR arm vs the stock one? Are you going to need to lengthen or shorten the shaft?

There's going to be some additional bracing going in to support it.
I was going to do some 'lightening holes' but figured weight saved v strength of plate wasn't worth the effort.
The arm is approx 3" over stock...I have the fjr shaft so no issues there.
Going to look at stock fjr1300 to see how they cover the uj..its a plastic cover I think.
May go for stainless uj....

Awesome work Sharky!! I love fabrication threads :)

Does the spindle clear the Ujoint? I would use the new tab bracing to use as top mono-shock support as well

Thanks mate....I have to get approval for the amount of mods to the bike so the more I can show the engineer the better.
