After reading Fast Freddy's speed post it made me think of "what's the fastest I've gone". I thought it would be a good thread to see what you all have done. I'm limiting it to bikes and cars. Racing is fine. I know there's a lot of room here for BS and Accuracy, so lets keep it fun.

Car:145 mph, with 69 442 w31
bike: 130 mph, 93 Vmax, 85 zl 900 eliminator.

Car 150mph 98 eclipse gsx suped up

Motorcycle 165mph 1994 yamaha FZR 1000 ( it was between 160-170 so I say 165)

155 mph on a 1260 first Gen with EFI
147 Mph on my Gen II
142 mph on my sons zx600
140 mph in a 1969 BB chevelle

I'm sure we'll see a lot more, but I think it's funny that me and twisted's car times came out of a car's from the 60's

150mph on the vmax speedo last year on sams ride at thunder. I had a long down hill sweep and it was still climbing but i let off so beekeeper and leecifer could catch back up.:biglaugh:

Will not go fast in a car but 5 yrs. ago on my Brothers Busa seen the speedo hit just over 180 in 5th gear nice road with no traffic.

153 mph (according to my and a 2000 Corvette Speedo) on my Stock 2000 Vmax (in 2001).
130-140 at least once or twice a year, every year on my 2000 Max.
165 mph in my Brother's 2008 505 HP Z06 Vette.

Car, 195 mph in my uncles turbo 930 Porsche ( on interstate in Tulsa Ok)
Bike, 201 mph on my buddy's Hayabusa ( on interstate in Cal)
Also 158mph on my V65 Magna ( on Pa interstate) Lost license for awhile for that.
And then there's the couple outruns on V65 and 1 on Vmax. But that's another thread. Lol.

Bike, 176 on Hayabusa with speedo healer and top end recall. Wasn't in the least bit scary. On Texas 42 in the Hill Country out around Kerrville

Car, 163 in my wife's Supercharged 350Z, on Interstate 10 between Baytown and Mt. Belvieu

Before that, muscle car, 138 in 1970 Ram Air IV Trans Am, With the 3.73 rear gear it was done at that speed.

157 in a 70s trans am 455/4 speed car 323gears.140s on a kz 1000.V max 110,last year.Had a 70 440/6 pak gtx never knew the top speed, speedo didn't work but damn it would fly!355 gears later went to 410s a big mopar fan back then. Both my end tables were 440s.

Bike, 85 VMAX - 150 a few days ago simply to see how fast I could get it going before I wised up and rolled off the throttle. This occurred on Tradeport Dr (runs parallel to OIA) here in Orlando. If a cop reads this from my area i'll deny every bit of it!

Been to 135 a couple of times on the Max.....It's much more stable 2 up!.....Fast enough for me!............Tom.

Tom are you bi-polar? I have never seen anyone else on your max. Does your other wear a large shirt.:rofl_200::rofl_200::rofl_200:

Car 140 1989 mustang lx
2002 Yamaha R1 165mph
06 Vmax 130 + mph ( at least a few times every ride)
Gsxr 1000. It bit faster than 165 could see it good enough. Nice straight away but speedo was small and I wasn't willing to look for to long ;)

140 on a katana 750
Ran the max to over 9600 in fifth with a 17" rear, but not sure how fast I was going cause Speedo was incorrect due to 17" front. I suspect I was going faster on the max than I was on the zuk.

145-150 on the vmax speedometer on a nice deserted U.P. road 6 years ago. Now about 4-5 times a year I get up to 135 mph at a deserted army air base, but generally like to play in 0-100 range. M/C top speed may change this summer since i will have a '03 FZ-1 that has DW 4 into 1/ Stage 2 jet kit and timing advance kit to ride, it's fast at least compared to Redbone!

In a car the tops has been 130 in my buddies '84 Vette, on I-285 near the Dunwoody exit! (Rollie will recognize that area) But that is probably not too unusal for I-285 back then ('87-'88) because if you weren't doing at least 80 in the LH lane you were blocking traffic.:biglaugh:
