Maybe it's just me, but $5k seems a bit stiff for an '85. I bought my '85 2 yrs ago with 15,000 miles for only $3500. Great looking bike though. Good luck.

Yeah, I'd say that's a reasonable asking price, though bike prices are really down this year.... there's massively discounted brand new bikes on ebay(ex....a $10,600 retail Z1000 can be found on ebay for $8800 OTD), and I know a couple people selling their bike and getting zero reasonable offers. When I had my '97 up, super clean, tons of extras for only $4000, I didn't get even one reply to the ad, and to me the bike is easily worth $4500.

$5k for what looks to be a stock '85 is never going to sell. Assuming it's super clean and has no problems, honestly I'd think $3k would be the top-dollar, to the right person. Joe Schmoe is going to offer you right around $2000 for it.
