I finished reassembling my U-joint and got it back in the bike. Torqued everything to spec, started it up, and wouldn't you know.... NO LEAKS!!! Now I can finally put on my busa caliper, front fender and rear wheel, and actual ride the damn thing.

My bike made it out of the shed for the first time yesterday after a few mods. Thanks to Sean for the wheels :punk::punk:

what paint is that? I like the look. Shorty fender, too?

Yeah short fender from exactrep in the UK. The rear light that came with it wasn't real bright so that's been changed to a bigger unit.

The paint is a high temp low gloss engine paint. Once it's baked it's pretty durable stuff!

Waiting on brake and clutch lines to arrive then it can be ridden at last. Would love an extended swingarm next..

Finally got around to taking pictures of what my gauge light mod looks like at night. Two short LED strips mounted to the plastic behind the gauges looks pretty mean (I think).

Also shown is the $5 volt meter I installed in front of the gauges so I can nerd out on how well my charging system works after swapping everything to LED and doing the crimp fix, lithium battery upgrade and r/r upgrade. That's the battery voltage shown with the bike not running, after just getting home from a spirited ride on the freeway.

wow nice, like it a lot.

I painted my round stator cover, added led running lights. I order these 1157 light socket wiring, going to install led lights inside my light cover to make little design inside the cover. I pick up few rear lights from other bikes was going to install 1 of them. My wife likes the stock look so I will keep it.

Gave my max a good Guam cleaning. The difference is that after washing, you have to coat the entire bike with something to prevent rust. I use SC 1, a sticky clear coat aerosol spray I get from the local honda dealership. Then I spray the carb bodies with wd40. But before all of that, she gets blow dried from my handy garden blower. Instead of spending $100+ on some bike specific blower I just bought a $35 blower from the local garden shop and it works great.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405751534.946743.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1405751551.262361.jpg

Replace of the stock screws at the back of the bike. New bushing and screws for the gas tank. Install new head light socket with a ceramic type. Install a dress up cup for the rear side bar. I found a few of these all sizes I had in a box. Change nuts to nylon lock nuts under the rear fender and for the sissy bar. I had a nut missing.

Finally got my fork seal problem sorted out, the third seal this year! Went to belray 10wt and only put in 5 1/2" down from top of fork per directions for progressive springs, also found a little nick on the fork tube and sanded it with 2000 grit paper. Put it all back together rode 70 mi and no leaking. I'm very happy but what a headache.

Got the braced swingarm and new wheel on the back, didn't realize that stabbing the drive shaft into the u-joint would take 4 hours... But I did it... Now to scrape some more money together haha
