    I know he uses then for "several" years because they are really faded when he finally swaps them for new ones. I would guess 2 or 3 years, part of that time sitting in the back of a pickup truck, the rest in a shed.

    The Tide detergent bottle actually works pretty well. My dad has mixed his chaisaw gas in one for as long as I can remember. Nothing pours better than a detergent bottle. No joke!

    Finally back in the wind after 19 years.

    Yeah, passed a lot of cars and trucks on the way up. The Vmax is WAY down on power at that alititude (couldn't get it to power wheelie even though I tried) but had no trouble making passes between curves.

    I have to be honest, the Sabre was more refined in every way, but the Vmax has that cool factor the Honda only dreamed of.

    Key blanks - where to buy?

    I just bought my 2002 'max a couple of weeks ago and it only came with one key. Got two made at ACE Hardware that work great. HY-KO brand key part #YH46 Cost me $1.98 each cut to fit.:eusa_dance:

    That box is pretty cool. I could see using one on my trailer too. Even though I pull it with the same truck 90% of the time it never crosses my mind to take the registration when I loan it or pull it with something else.

    So at least I'm not overlooking an obvious, purpose built, storage spot. Sticking it to the under side of the faux tank seems like a good place to me. It's even locked up in there! The only down side I can see is trying to find a place to set the cover on the side of the road without scratching...
