No Spark, where to look first?

Found It! Even better some idiot did not clip it back together when he took the battery out for replacement (Dat Bee Mee Folks!) Have not checked it yet but suspect this may well be victory (and a bike that runs!)

No Spark, where to look first?

Starter works fine, new battery and it spins fast. Problem is no spark at any of the plugs.

No Spark, where to look first?

This is what I've got, no orange and black wires

No Spark, where to look first?

There is no orange with black wire connector I can see. So far unable to load a picture, getting a message of "file too large". Don't get it as it's your standard issue nothing fancy picture/

    Turns over but No Spark.

Went for a great ride, next day went to start the bike, it clicked and the electrical went dead, no lights no horn no nothing. Replaced the battery (it was horrible and I admit it), cleaned all the contacts I could get to, checked all the fuses and now it turns over nicely, lights and horn all...

No Spark, where to look first?

2002 Vmax, ran great one day, died dead as a door nail the next with no signs of life and electrically dead. Replaced the battery, sprayed the on/off switch and got it to turn over (YAY!), but no spark. Plugs are new, wires in good shape and nothing apparently burnt. Where should I start to look?

    2002 Vmax Electrically Dead

No experience reading a schematic, do have a meter or two and will give it a shot. Total bummer as the goal was to sell the bike, previous to this the only problem was it needed new fork seals.

    2002 Vmax Electrically Dead

Main fuse is good, battery reads 12.5 V (as stated a replacement wouldn't hurt), cables seem to be good. Electrical is my least favorite repair, may just concede defeat and send it to the shop.

    2002 Vmax Electrically Dead

I'll look for the main 30 amp fuse and check the battery cable.

    2002 Vmax Electrically Dead

No horn, no starter no nuthin'. All fuses are good. Battery is not so hot but will take a full charge, that's not the issue. Jiggled key and wiring, still nothing. Happened suddenly, went for a nice long ride on Monday, went to start it Tuesday and it clicked and died completely. Any ideas?
