    Seat Mod questions and thoughts.

I am 6'1 and 270.I have the Corbin with the Yamaha factory crash bar and highway pegs mounted to them. The Corbin sits higher than most which helps a tall rider. It is substantially wider than stock and is positioned good for highway pegs.I can ride 250-300 miles on a Sunday afternoon with no...

    New '18 Goldwing

Not really.Have you priced Harvey's cvo limited."$42000".It is a dresser but not in the same league as the Gold Wing, nothing is except maybe the BMW klt1600.The limited dealers and expensive maintenance of a BMW makes it impractical for most.I guess Honda can charge whatever they want since...

    Miles Till Reserve

I can get to 115 before hitting reserve and have went to 140 after turning on reserve. But that is driving conservatively and not touching the vboost.

    One Year.

Congrats!I am jealous.I can relate to your job.I work on a forklift in the shipping dept.of a iron foundry for 21 years now.I got about 10 years left myself depending on the stock market of course .Enjoy it!!

Windshield (yes, another thread but with a twist)

Yes,I have installed Progressive suspension, front and back.No high speed wobble anymore.

Windshield (yes, another thread but with a twist)

I have been to 125 with my Memphis Shades a couple times with no problem. The shield actually seems to get more stable at higher speeds as strange as that sounds.

Windshield (yes, another thread but with a twist)

You mentioned full body and head, not just chestThe links you have there seem to be just for chest with exception of the last one, unless you are short.I have the Memphis Shades Classic Deuce and it is 18 tall and still gets my head.I am 6'1.I put a deflector on mine from LAMINAR.It deflects the...

    Gen 1 vs Diavel

I believe a He'll cat or new Demon might change your mind.A Demon has faster 0-60 and quarter mile times than a stock gen 1.

Going to try 87 this tank

I would like to but ethanol free gas but the nearest station to me that sells it is 40 miles away.Thier hours of operation are very finicky. It basically takes most of a tank of gas for a round trip.(pointless)Great for those of us that have that option though.

Going to try 87 this tank

My 95 does run fine on 87 but does it run better on 93?Any better performance?Does 93 have the same amount of ethanol as 87?Might be a consideration if your bike sits a while between rides.I don't know these answers but it might be a consideration for those that do.just my 2 cents.

    Gas cap woes

I believe the 83-93 gen one Ventures had the same gas cap.At least I had a 88 venture that did.

Urge to modify the max... But.

Yah,you are right. But the thing is,try to find a good one for that price. Most all that you find at NADA price is used up and in pretty rough shape not to mention cut up and modified in a way that you don'like.

Yamaha unwraps super cruiser Venture motorcycle

I owned a 88 venture before I went to the VMAX and I agree with you totally. I actually like the looks of it but it was all over once I seen the v-twin.That stopped me in my tracks. What a disappointment..

    V max vs v rod

The v rod is a nice looking bike. The only Harley that I would consider owning.I would like the chance to play with one on my vmax. Most true Harley guys don't like them. But don't let your buddy try to fool you, that engine was developed by PORCHE.

    2013 V Star Venture

The Royale star venture and the gen 1 venture(83-88) are 2 totally different machines.Yes,they are both v-4s but other than that they are a lot different.Performance and engine wise the 83-88 Ventures are very similar to gen1 vmax. The Royale stars venture is not too much in performance compared...

    seat question

The factory sissy bar will work technically but sits too far back for passenger (IMO),but corbin has a couple different ones available that fit thier seat.

    vintage muscle car strip info

Oh YES,I remember the Cyclone and Typhoon, they were quick.Yes I agree the newer cars with the smaller engines are good performers. But of all the cars mentioned above including all the old muscle cars, the Grand National,Cyclone,Typhoon and v6 Mustang, the Mustang is the only one that will not...

    seat question

I have a corbin.I am 6'1 and 260 and I have had back surgery.I really like mine, yes,it is firm ,not soft but I find it is much better than the stock seat for longer rides.I can ride 200 miles on a Sunday afternoon and be fine.It doesn't sit lower as the other after market seats do,which I like...

    vintage muscle car strip info

You mention a v6 mustang, but what about a little black Buick back in 87 that went by the name GNX?(fastest domestic car of 87 even faster than the Corvette). It also had a v6.And a good example of one today will fetch well over $100,000.Just saying, but I still prefer a old school big block v8...
