    85- 5000 miles

Emissions i mean in '85 there still were no exhaust regulations so fuel and ignition settings were just set for best performances. I had a '91 european 102hp. Then I had a 2000 American 140hp and from 2k to 4k the old '91 was literally eating the 140hp Also cold start was just a half second Amy...

    85- 5000 miles

Hi I'm sorry for your brother. Damn this thing is an amazing one! '85 all original and only 5k miles Yamaha should grant you a spot in their museum. You should leave it as is, just as Max said, fix whatever needs to due to long time sitting. Being '85 the carburation will also be as raw as it...

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Polishing I noticed that right air scoop has got a protecting grill obviously Instead left one has got a grill but it's sealed internally with a plate Is it this way originally or must be something done by previous owner? Can I remove this back plate?

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

More than help, thanks! I was going to downsell mine and buy another! Now I started polishing and making little fixes. First one a constant oil drop from clutch slave I guess

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Just started running and problem is solved. Now just 20 seconds driving and temp drops immediately by 10°C And never heats up again Thank you! Surely I'll drive for a while and flush empty again, then repeat after a while until only clean coolant flows. What you suggest as a rad cleaner? Ice...

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Now rad perfectly cleaned and reinstalled Mechanic is concerned about the debris which is still inside engine cooling circuit. I also think only way is to ride it and after a while flush it empty away again, and periodically repeat the operation until liquid comes out clean

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Thanks I had no clue about this Wonder if my mechanic does I'll verify when rad back on Now that you explained, I think it's purpose is to let circuit air out while filling it with coolant? Could it be?

My European 102hp has more torque than an American 145hp?

Once radiator is back on and engine running I'll check this valve for sure. Nevertheless after I've seen how bad inside it was I hope problem was just the radiator. I had always used coolant But bike was simply shut of 10 years ago and stored in a garage. My house was built inside a hill so...
