yea i would change the oil and filter for sure...just to be on the safe side....

yea it would not hurt to pull a plug and look down in the butterflys with a light....bet you don't find anything....that foam burned up instantly i would assume.....lots of suction...i would go back to the stock filter; nothing wrong with them...

I would take it up the road and see how it runs...before i would pull that carb package...

My vmax carbs talk to me when the bike is cold if i start it and just take off....Does not do it when i let it sit and warm up......have been told the slight popping is fairly normal....lol..

I put the OEM size Bridgestones Exedras on my bike about a month ago....rides ok....plenty of grip..

i am going to install one too....i got caught on northwest highway in dallas the other morning in some serious morning traffic....temp guage would jump up to about 3/4...then come back down when i took off.....kinda worried me a little....never got in the red...

I don't know how well aluminum will polish....man I ain't near that picky....

i run my a/f screws at 2.5 turns out and it runs great...
