I will definitely check the grounds aswell. I am pretty sure the stator wires to the regulator are good as I soldered them instead of using the clips. That solved an issue I had with those wires over heating a year ago.

Battery is a little over a year old. But spent the winter on a maintainer.

Ya, that is what my repair book said. I thought it was a misprint. But I read the thread here on how to sync carbs. It is explained very well. I understand now why it is to be done that way. Thank you for calling me on it. :)

I made my own tool. (I'm cheep, always try the less expensive way to fix things) 4 vac gauges and 1/8" hose. One to each vac port. Synced #1 to #2, then #4 to #2, then #3 to #4. Then adjusted the idle and repeated until my idle was 950-1000 rpm and each carb was at -22 to -23 psi. I hope this...
