    Goodbye V-Max

Thank you so much! You are the smaller guy I've envied, perfect fit on a Max, I'm just glad there are different bikes that fit us all.

    Goodbye V-Max

I agree about the sound and rush. But do you ride 2 up much? My wife is 6' and the combination of the 2 of us on the Max made the poor Max look like a mini-bike. It's funny, I didn't want the forward controls cause I liked them where they were and now I have forward controls anyhow... LOL

    Goodbye V-Max

I can definitely tell it's not the V-Max, but even in the first 100 miles I can feel it's gotta 0-30 like no other bike I've ever ridden. Comfort wise though I rode 90 miles the day I bought it and was ready to go, I'm 6' 4", 240 lbs, I was done after 40 on my V-Max, just too small for me now.

    Goodbye V-Max

I paid $11k for it, but that number included getting a little more for my Max than I think it was worth, so maybe a little less than that if I didn't have a trade.

    Goodbye V-Max

Well.... I hate to say it, but my second V-Max was short lived, bought it last fall and just traded it for an M109R yesterday. I needed something a big guy like me could stretch out on, and a Gen II was more than I wanted to spend. Though I've not posted much, this forum has been a great...

    Best Saddle for Taller Riders

I could see having both controls being a good way to go, but otherwise not even having the standard pegs would not work for me at all.

    Best Saddle for Taller Riders

Reading you post is funny to me Charlie, I'm 6'4" and am extremely uncomfortable with any bike that has forward controls, it's one of the reasons I bought a Max. I think it is a general rule that it is a safer riding position to have your feet under you, but as for comfort, I think that's a...

    Ordered a Maxgasser

So you just install the crash guards and use them as highway pegs, or do you add highway pegs to the crash bars afterwards?

    Ordered a Maxgasser

LOL - You're not making the decision any easier... We bought the bike to put behind the motorhome for transportation when camping, so I wasn't concerned with seat comfort. But lo and behold the first warm day this spring and we're out riding with friends 200 miles in a day. It sounds like...

    Ordered a Maxgasser

You mentioned it was lower? Is that an option? Technically that would be bad for me at 6' 4". I'm also concerned that the back seat would be too tall as well for my wife who is 6'. I need to get something more comfortable for the both of us, right now it's between Rick's seat and the Corbin...

    I have to wonder,,,

The sound! Isn't that one of the main reasons we love our Maxes. During my Maxless years I would stay at a Holiday Inn off the highway near the Space Needle in Seattle, and every morning I heard a Max with a pipe go right by the hotel and then get on the highway to the North and accelerate. I...

    I have to wonder,,,

I too rode dirt bikes as a kid and had an old beater 2 cylinder Yamaha in high school. My buddies had V65s, so when I went to buy my first brand new bike after high school, I bought a Max, so I would be quicker than my buddies. Rode the heck out of that bike for a year, but wanted to go around...

    Vmax Engine in other contraptions.

This is from an EBay ad from 2011 This hand built supertrike is undoubtedly one of the fastest three wheelers in captivity, powered by two Yahama V Max engines offering 8 cylinder performance. Constructed in Ohio, USA by Garry Buzzelli and his race mechanics in 2007/8 it was used as a street...

What did you get for Christmas??

I wouldn't either. BTW - I did get a beautiful generic cover from my daughter, it fits, sort of, but as far as she is concerned it's perfect! I did get a leather bag set from my wife also.

Star wars fans? My latest project.

Here is my much lower end Vader outfit, I've never worn it to a bar, many Halloween parties, of course I already have the only lady I need,my slave in this picture.

Very nice! So how much do you have in it?

What did you get for Christmas??

I recently bought the most expensive Craftsman torque wrench, it has a digital read out and beeps when it reaches torque, actually kind of a pain in the ass, I much prefer a click type like you just got.

What did you get for Christmas??

You'll have to let us know how it fits, I've been looking at that cover, but curious if it is just way too big for a Gen 1.
