oil sensor

So on my new v-max the wire got clipped going to the sensor unit so the oil light doesn't work. It is clipped so close to the unit it looks like i'll have to replace it (no way to rewire). If so, what is your guys suggestion? Looks like around $85 or $90 for a new one, unless someone has a...
