warping

Just noticed this morning that the rubber gasket behind the left crankcase cover cap is warped, just for about 2 inches on the very bottom of it. No oil is leaking out, it just looks like crap. Ordered a new one, but wondering if it is a warning sign of potential engine problems or probably just...
