    Indicators

I bought these on ebay (I think) about 4 or 5 years ago. They are LED lights that require resistors or a different flasher. I liked them because they mounted exactly like the factory lights, so no adapters or brackets needed, and that they 'kinda" look factory but are smaller . I think I...

The Engine Used In A Touring Role

I totally agree. I would never buy the Victory...not because of any issue with the bike, but because it isn't my type of motorcycle (not a Vmax). The only reason I have it is because my Dad's knees are so bad he can't ride any longer, especially a bike that is almost a half a ton loaded with him...

The Engine Used In A Touring Role

I an not a long distance rider any more. My back is screaming after a 100 miles and it takes a couple of days to recover. That being said, My Victory Vision is a great counter part to my Vmax. The Victory is a fantastic bike. Yes its a big twin but is very smooth. It has multiple balance shafts...

Strapping the front end for strip

That is so difficult to do on a 2nd gen,. I think I might want to dislocate my thumbs first..... If it was a dedicated drag bike only then maybe....

Can you guys with the Gen 2's answer my question

So, by now you probably have a pretty good idea of what to expect.... except the truth is, it's like trying to describe to someone how hot a pepper is. The 1700 is whatever you want it to be. It will happily put around like an overgrown moped, or make the blood drain out of your head..... I...

    2nd Gen VMAX 2014 "Punisher"

Purchased in January of 2015. It was the first brand new vehicle I had bought with 0 miles on the odometer. I took my son to the motorcycle show in Dallas, sat on a new Vmax that was on display, stood up and called the dealer. 3 days later it was sitting in my garage. Been loving it ever since...

    Throttle cable

The Gen 2 has cables that go from the throttle tube to the throttle position sensor. That sends the signal to the ecm telling the ecm how much throttle you are requesting. The ecm controls the actual throttle blade opening ( how much and how fast) via an electric motor. IIRC, the PUSH (pull when...

    Throttle cable

Correct, but, if you go too far, it puts the throttle in a bind. It causes one cable to be way tighter than the other.

    Throttle cable

Have you tried the adjustment near the throttle/controls? If it is adjusted to tight It can make the throttle feel "sticky or sluggish".

    Made a new seat upholstery

Nothing to complain about from what I see. Looks great.

    Change fork oil.

The easiest way is to use pit stands. Use a regular rear stand to raise the rear using the spools on the swing arm. On the front, use a stand that lifts the front with a pin that goes into the bottom of the steering stem. Do not use a front stand by itself.

    Shinko 011's - Found 4/10!! In stock

On Shinko's website the 011 Verge in 200/50VR18 has a "V" speed rating (149mph) which is fine. IIRC, the speed rating test is at maximum load, maximum tire pressure, for one hour. So, unless you plan on running over 150 MPH for more than one hour continuously, you should be okay. I can't recall...

    Exhaust

If it is louder, it will be determined by what muffler you use. The install isn't too bad. Make sure you leave the front main pipes loose at the cylinder head until everything is installed. Also, you may have an issue with the O2 sensor bung (port). Some of us had to install a plug and weld on a...

    240 rear tire

I just had my 4th Q3 mounted, balanced. I really like it. Since the majority of my riding is flat slab, the harder center (its a dual compound tire) helps with the mileage.
