My bike is having the same issue, I can barely get it to start. This all started out of the blue. Road it to work, fired it up after work and she went about a mile and then died. No fuel so I replaced the fuel pump and relay and not plenty of fuel but she will barely run when it does fire...

Thinking fuel filter now. At least a cheap trouble shoot. maybe when the fuel pump gave it up it filled the filter with crud. She will run but barely, like its not getting enough fuel or getting choked out.

Hey there Dannymax, We have moved from Syracuse to WestPoint Utah. There are a Maxers here but I only see them on bike rides and only the bigger ones. I need to try and set up a Max rally.

Thanks Beekeeper and Dannymax. I cleaned the fuses and while the bike was charging, disassembled the housing over the throttle and cleaned the reserve switch. Put it all back together, turned the key and click click click went the pump. let her charge a bit longer, put everything back...

I just has a similar problem I fixed last night. I checked my fuses as mentioned above but then was told that corrosion on the blades of the fuses had still caused the pump to not get power so I cleaned the spades with a very fine file I had, I'm sure emory cloth or something fine will work...

Originally my 2000 was Carbon Fiber paint, but now my own Jalapeno Red Pearl version.

Is there anything out there for a step by step how to for syncing the carbs on my 2000 Vmax?
