I haven't checked them yet. Can you check the size without pulling them out? What size should I run? I'm at 700 feet, the paj 2 (I think) is a dj 190, I haven't checked the paj 1 yet.
Just an update. After cleaning the carbs and checking all that I could think of I looked at the needles again. I assumed they were stage 7 needles (p.o. told me it had a stage 7 kit installed). Turns out they are stage 1 needles with stage 7 jets. Needless to say I have been running a little on...
Is it possible to take the stage 7 air corrector out and put it in another carb?
I have tried everything I can think of short of breaking it out of the old carb (which still isn't off the table...)
Thanks,
Taylor
Are the flat sides worth the money? It seems like a lot of work and money if you don't get a dramatic performance increase. I don't know anything about them...:ummm:
I put my carbs back on after adjusting the float levels, went to start the bike, and gas was pouring out the right rear carb. I checked the screws and one was very loose. Turns out I must have over tightened it and snapped off the bottom corner of the carb. Anyone have any ideas on a fix? Or a...
I noticed I am missing a few dust covers. I plan on replacing them, but I am not sure how quickly I should it. The dust cap on the driveshaft is missing. I think the part missing on the rear wheel is also a dust cover of some sort, but I am not sure. I used the picture of my other bike to show...
I recently bought an 88 with a stage 7 jet kit and 4 into 1 kerker. It sounds good, but I think it is lacking power, especially at 7,000 rpm. It accelerates smoothly until 6,500 then it will hesitate for half a second, pull to 7,000 and then it is like it hits a rev limiter--no more power. I...
I just bought an 88 Vmax without progressive springs. The bike came with a set of forks from a 96 that are thicker (I guess?). Do I need to bother switching to the 96 forks if I put progressive springs in the original forks? :ummm:
I have a set of rear air shocks that came on the bike when I bought it. There aren't any markings on them that I can find. Any one know what kind of air pressure I should run in them?
