Excellent, thanks for confirming that. Now I can diagnose / fix the other issues I believe that are causing the troubles.

Fuel seeping past needle / seat in carb inlet throat

Hello All, Further to my other post on my 2004 running / fueling issues. I noticed the other day, when the engine was running, after I did a Shotgun clean of the 4 carbs, that fuel was seeping past the needle / seats inside the carb inlet throats, on all 4 carbs. I don't recall noticing this...

    2004 fuel / carb / running problems

Thanks for that. Luckily the bowls on mine have drained with no trouble. I went to re-Shotgun yesterday and rechecked for the idle mix screw washers and orings (first 1 come out fine, second carb I noticed they weren't even in there). I've now ordered a new set of 4. Also checked the PAJ...

    2004 fuel / carb / running problems

Hello All, Had some running problems with my 2004 a few months ago, discovered some rust in the tank and have since pulled and cleaned / sealed the tank and reinstalled. Installed new fuel filter as a further precaution. Just finished performing the Shotgun clean on all 4 carbs (seemed...

    Frozen Air/Fuel Mixture Screw Removal

Hi Danny, my 2004 is now not running properly, I'm looking at pulling the carbs and starting an inspection / rebuild. As an option, do you have a set already to go, or can I send mine to you to have serviced? Thanks!

2004 out of storage fuel issue..

I cleaned the carb. air intakes, air filter base and outer carb bodies, tightened the carb hose clamps, then sprayed Seafoam into each carb and applied Seafoam to a full tank of fuel and all seems correct once again. I'll confirm in the next day or so after a longer ride, but I think I'm good...

2004 out of storage fuel issue..

Hi All, Just took my 2004 out of storage and out on the road the other day. I noticed some fuel that had leaked from somewhere around one of the carbs and down between the engine block V. Bike started OK, but has a slight pop out of the RH (?) exhaust at idle. Throttle response is lagging...

    2004 fuel leak

Good thought fire-medic. I have stock exhaust still, I'll take a closer look and see if that method will work best for this. Thanks

    2004 fuel leak

Hi guys, My 2004 has been in storage, off the road for a few months now (all winterized, etc.). Went to start it the other day and noticed moisture on top of the rear exhaust pipes (was there while bike was sitting), above the swing arm, just after the pipes cross over. Upon further...

Last ride of the street legals

Cant believe that HD actually won, looked like you had him on that pass. It's a bit tricky to see what's happening with the new Mission TV angles. But looks pretty good!
