Hi guys I've got an 89 vboosted and it's had a had a hard life. I've just done a compression test and i'm down on one cyclinder others are reading 160 psi and 120 so i think it time for a valve grind. my question is do you have to remove the motor in order to get to the valve seats.

Since the carbs are off I might as well check the valves. Even though there is less than 16K miles it is still worth the look-see I guess. I know when I have done the valves on several of my Toyota engines with bucket shims I just measured them, found the culprits (usually tighter as the valves...
