A quick ride over to Whangamata on my current 89 max and Met up with my old 2001 max . The 89 runs radials and emulators, the 01 still on stick rims and progressive springs.

I'm thinking about buying a newer max, and then taking all my body panels and moving them over to the new bike, and moving the stock panels from the new bike to my old bike, then selling it. Does that make any sense? I want to swap all the cosmetics of my '90 max to an '07 max. This is a...

Do the 85-88 bikes REALLY have 145hp and all the subsequent years only 110hp? Or did someone finally put the bike on a proper dyno? I ask as I have an 85 and it doesn't feel 35hp faster than my brother's 98. My ZX12r, on the other hand, DEFINITELY feels 60hp faster. Any thoughts?
