pads

Been going through a bunch of posts. Looks like many of you are using EBC HH sintered pads. Also looks like some have gone to FJR master cylinders. And of course many of you are using better calipers. I don't want to "brake" the bank but do have some questions about brake options for my 85: 1...

Ive got 6000 miles on my vmax, should head over to garage and check pads, but thought i might ask here first. how many miles {average} on factory pads?

Ok - I removed my question. I have new pads (DP sintered ones). 70 quid (euro) but it's not worth to take the risk. It was a stupid question in the first place...

I just put on a new set of EBC HH pads today. And I noticed that the new pads come to the very edge of the rotor. The original factory pads only came to about a 1/16 of an inch to the edge of the rotor. Is this something I should be concerned with? I compared the original pads to the new EBC...
