Odometer/Tripmeter Issue

The odometer and tripmeter on my 94 Vmax are not functioning. What’s odd is the speedometer needle works as it should going up and down throughout the mph range.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this issue.

As the speedo is working OK then then it will be getting drive from the cable.
On that basis the fault will lies within the speedo head and you would need to have a look inside to see what the problem is.

Most likely a stripped or broken gear inside of the speedometer, or something is disengaged.

When you try to reset the odometer, do the numbers roll up? You should be able to feel the mechanical action. Be sure the reset knob is free to move and engage the dials.

Yes, the odometer numbers all roll up. Also there are no discernible noises, nor are any of the numbers sticking.
