I guess I am confused about the reason behind any of this. As far as I know his mother was a US citizen therefore wherever he was born he would have been a natural born citizen. Why would they bother forging a birth certificate and why would people be so intent on proving that it was forged?

Guys, Looking for new tires for my 07. Replacing worn out 110/80 18 and 180/55 17 Avons. Wondering what the highest recommended tire is? Thanks in advance for the input.

Found the frame on Ebay. It is for a xr650l and factory street legal. As a last resort I would consider buying one and just using it to put a plate on the xr650r. But will try to exhaust most other legalish options first. Thanks again.

Thanks for the input guys. I have a brother in law in SD looking into plating it over there for me right now. The only real issue that I can see so far is that I don't have a title and the only title I can get from Iowa is offroad only. Figured if I start there then it will never be considered...

Yes the the xl and the xrl were factory street legal and a lot of the xrr have been converted in the past. Unfortunately the DMV is making it harder to get a plate on a converted dirt bike. In Iowa right now if it doesn't have an Federal Safety Label on it you can't get the inspector to pass...

I've been researching the same type of thing (xr650r) here in Iowa and talked to the inspector and he basically said that if the bike in question doesn't have a FSL (Federal Safety Label) then you won't be able to get a plate for it. Good luck in Indiana but definitely not doable here in Iowa.

That's what I've been doing too but would like to get it fixed. Thinking about putting some small orings on the center screws.

I did the exact same thing and still notice a little oil seeping from the two center screws on the cover. Is that also a symptom of the stator grommet?
