Hi. When i turn ignition on from key, my boost servo don't do initial check, open/close. However, when motor running and revs are around 6000 the servo motor pulls boost open.?? I have measured +- cable's and when ignition on, there is no voltage coming from boost control unit. The thing is...

I think that i go for new board, if that's the prob. First i want to do some more detail investigation on boost wires etc.anyway Mikko / Vmax1988

Went yesterday for a testdrive, and suprise..boost is back!..so electrical connection is loose, or can the control board act like this before will be fried ? Mikko / Vmax1988

Btw..are the inner tubes welded only from both end's of the head pipes..? Or some other way.. im planning to take exhaust off soon and try to repair the rattle sound Is it doable ??

Hi. I have some stange noise comming from..somewhere outside the engine, i think and hope so anyway.! Someone told me that vmax stock pipes are double layer, and in old bikes inner layer can come off/loose and cause "glinging" noise. Is this a fact?? It would be great to have fault in...

Yeah, I'm quite sure that the noise is from chain. Is the tensioner in gen1 automatic? Is the way i described earlier good way to increse tension on chainn ?

Good idea. I have located that the sound is coming from back cylinders. Maybe the camshaft chain tensioner is worn out? Is it an automatic tenssioner? Can i just open it up, push it in one notch, or should i replase whole tensioner or just the spring?

1988 full power vmax. When driving there is metallic symmetric sound coming from engine..lower parts maybe, after stop, engine at idle, the sound fades away after a while. Its same in any gear and dosent seems to come from cylinder blocks..even the sound is little bit like valve clicking, but...
