So how do you lift a Vmax by your self if you drop it...!@?

First I grap my front brake and press the brake, then I get down with my ass down to the bike and tilt/lift from out of my legs. It's all in the tilting. Hope this makes sense since English is not my native language :P

    First high speed thrill

I briefly touched 150 miles on the German autobahn  but that's no fun with only the small oem screen. I still had some left. I wonder what the real top will be since my ECU is flashed and restrictions are gone. ..

Shifting problem or normal? (2010 VMax)

Let that dealer fuck himself. Everywhere around the globe official brand dealers get cocky and feel they can ignore customers with older vehicles/bikes. Luckily everywhere good mechanics can be found who know what they are doing for much better prices. A very good exception on that rule is my...

    Exhaust too loud! 🙉

I love the sound of a Vmax engine revving 😜 but since I live near a busy road I can empathize with "normal non biking citizens" when anti social bikes are revving on the road for my house.. especially very early in the morning  Personally I removed the Cat on my Gen2 and loved the sound of...

    Catalizer replacement

I really like the looks of the original exhausts so I kept them after deleting the cat and replace with dominator pipes. After that the sound was awful aggressive and loud, too aggressive to leave on my bike early in the morning  I reached the perfect (for me) sound with adding DB killers...

Gen2: after Cat delete Kill the DB

I used X pipes to delete my catalysator and did the airbox mod with a K&N filter, also planned to flash the ECU. However, after the Cat delete with keeping the original exhausts the sound was beautiful but too much.. I can't drive to work early in the morning like this, that would be anti...

2nd Gen VMAX My Dream Bike

I think the Star emblem is typical US and the Yamaha forks typical for the European market?

2nd Gen VMAX My Dream Bike

I only have this bike for a few weeks now and I'm still discovering it. and now you mentioning it...😳 .. damn you are right! It looks like the fork is dropped 2 cm or something.. That explains why I can get my feet so easily on the ground while others complain the bike is too high 😜 And indeed...

2nd Gen VMAX My Dream Bike

I also like the bike better naked but since it's my commuter (150km daily in Dutch weather) the windshield is very convenient  anyways I like this one better than most others. I like the OEM boulevard shield even better but the prices for that one are insane.

Locate and adjust all six suspension components on a Yamaha VMAX 1700

Good vid indeed. Helped me greatly to find where all settings are A pity he doesn't hint very much on what settings one needs when you are a light or heavy driver I am 115 kilo myself (253 lb) and I found that I needed almost maxed out preload and somewhere in the middle for rebound and...

2nd Gen VMAX My Dream Bike

Wanted one for many years now I've got me a Gen2. (happy happy joy joy. Lot of OTEC eye candy on it and in 2 weeks I get a Dynojet flashing treatment after I decat the bike and do the airbox mod. I'll report back how many HP I get from the tuning

I sold my 85 and now own a 99 so I should not be on the list anymore

I posted the VIN list on the Vmax classics FB page https://www.facebook.com/groups/607652192578786/960949373915731/?notif_t=like And thought about the list... I am pretty sure some/many Maxxers on the list have died by now or have been parted out or something.. Isn't it an idea to give the VINS...

I think even within the USA the last digits are not unique since there seems to be a different Californi? model VIN, also there are a lot of Canadian bikes in the USA I hear.

On the question how it is possible that that are Vmax's with the same serial number around Yamaha answered as follows: (note: translation, the answer was from the Dutch Yamaha importer, in Dutch ofcourse ;)) "The last 6 digits of a VIN number are not unique, the combination of...

Indeed. and using whole VIN numbers could also clarify the questions I asked earlier in this thread, which btw no one seems to be able to answer :ummm:

BTW Why use numbers like #0622 instead of whole VIN number like JYA1JH001FA000622? :ummm: I don't see bad mofo's "stealing" Vin numbers of old Vmaxxers for any purpose :rofl_200:
