Sadly once again i couldnt make this but as i may be living in the South Island before years end next year will be a go .
The Brass Monkey Rally has been going for 30yrs , its the biggest motorcycle rally in Australiasia . Its held in one of the remotest and coldest places in NZ and takes place in the middle of winter . I have only done this rally once back in my early 20s a group of us on 50cc scooters which were overloaded with alcohol , a tent and not much else as we rode the 600km return trip at bout 35kmph for the 4 day event .
This year with the week before having major rain and floods sweep the country then a snow storm those who could get there minus the road closures etc where there .
