Am i crazy?

I just put my carbs back on after they were rebuilt, and I turned my key a few times to prime the carbs and tried to start it, and nothing. Which isn't really the problem. I'm concerned that there is something wrong with the fuel pump, but I've been reading on here that after the carbs prime the pump will not run when I turn the key. Soo I guess the silly question I have is how do I tell if it's the fuel pump/relay? Drain the bowls and see what comes from it? I guess that would make sense huh? :ummm:

Yes, I have found this to be correct. Simply drain one of your carb bowls with the Phillips head drain screw and your fuel pump will kick in the next time you turn the key on. If it doesn't, then something is wrong.
