That's what I measure. If you make your own set that would be great. I'd love to see them.

Here is the Brocks kit. Any other kit for an R1 will work as well. https://brocksperformance.com/radial-mount-front-end-lowering-kit-vmax-09-17-r1-09-14/

Here are a couple of photos of my brackets. They were expensive but they are beautiful parts. I don't think they are available anymore.

Yes they look quite simple to make, I will design and build my own and keep you posted on how they will look and perform.
Thanks for your help Mark

Thanks for the story, your 750 Turbo was very fast.
It was but, it wasn't really set up for quarter mile. I built it for the sole purpose of going to Bonneville but, things never worked out and I ended up selling it out of frustration. The last time I went to the drags was a year or so ago on the 98 Vmax I had at the time. I was so outclassed! Everyone there was running into the 9's and I struggled to break into the 10's! There were a few guys bumping into the 8's! Granted, they had wheelie bars but still, that's fast! I miss drag racing but, don't have anything I would race right now. I'm dying for a new Vmax but, it's gotta wait until after next year. I've got a road trip coming that's going to take a good chunk of change so, everything else is on hold until then.

As for the tie-down straps, I have seen people use ratchet straps on bikes that they could hook the hooks to or I've also seen people make a small bracket with a hole in it for hooking the strap hook to but, you have to ziptie the hook to the bracket because if the forks get compressed too much the hooks can come loose and best case just upset the handling when the forks rebound suddenly and worst case they get caught in the wheel and that ends badly. My straps bolted onto the brake caliper bracket so, no chance of them coming loose.

Oh, when I say 750 Turbo, it wasn't a 750 anymore. It was an 880 with a stage 5 turbo, GPZ1100 throttle bodies and so much more. I had close to $10,000 in the motor alone. That was a fun bike but, I had to carry extra fuel with me when I went to my local riding area because I got about 18 mpg and couldn't make it back without the extra. I had to run 114 octane and no one in that area had any.

Hold on to the though of getting another bike, Bonneville sounded great, maybe you may consider going there to ride, I can tell you for the last few months I have been speaking to a UK company who are turbo specialists, they build land speed turbo bikes, I would like to get involved and race at a place we have called Elvington, the thing is to own and maintain two bikes is costly.
The bike I was enquiring about which can be taken to drag strips and also with some mods it can do land speed as well, 500 to 600BHP has to also be re-built every 30-35 runs at the drag strip, basically one season aprox, the thing is 'I hate the look of Busa'

The key to Bonneville is which class you run in. Bikes like you're talking about are in open classes with power-adders. No way I could compete in those classes. Too much money and too tight competition from such a huge pool of bikes. The class I would run in is somewhat narrower since my bike was factory turbocharged. There are only 6 factory production turbocharged bikes which places them in a narrower field of competition. My goal was to get a red hat. To get that you have to not only break 200mph but, you have to set a record within your class. The Kawasaki 750 Turbo properly set up can develop over 250rwhp. Mine was a little over 200rwhp. Right now the most powerful one is 285rwhp. So, no way we're competing in open-class stuff. Maybe one day I'll get to do it but, only time will tell. I may drop by there next year while I'm riding out west. Oh, I don't know if my avatar shows it but, I'm in the states in TN. Utah isn't close but, if I ever get set-up to run there I'll happily ride there! I've got bikes that could easily be modified to break 200mph but, I like odd stuff you don't see everyday. I've got 6 bikes right now and three are ridden and the others are in various stages of restoration. None are anything I would take to Bonneville though not because they wouldn't do it but, because it wouldn't interest me. Although, I have been considering boosting my Concours 14! You can get 300rwhp on premium gas pretty easily with the Connie! I'd just do that for grins though!
