Wondering if I could use a 90' silicone hosr bend and 2 sleeves ti replace the plastic elbow ?
The radius of the bend looks close enough and the hose would colour match the rest of the pipework.....in theory it sound...I'd use an industrial grade sealant to bond the stainless tubes into the motor..
Oh and to clean all corrosion out of the thermo housing, pump housing etc. ..quick 5 min dip in diluted hydrochloric acid (pool acid)......cleans the parts a treat but doesnt damage them.

You'd want to use a preformed hose and not many come with that sharp a bend that you'd need. Also, I would be a bit concerned about them coming out even if bonded in there (heat always makes things harder to seal).
