Low fuel light not working

[Sharm El Sheikh Vmax]

Now maybe it's just the sensor that's not working but before I start taking everything to bits (it's 35 celcius and no shade) I'd like to pick your brains. So the actual bulb is ok, it and the oil light come on when I try to start in gear without the clutch pulled in. The fuel pump runs when I run out of fuel and I have the switch in RES. The only thing I don't know as I've just though about it, I don't know if the fuel pump runs when I've run out with the fuel switch in the ON position.

Any help gratefull appreciated.

Fuel pump should not run when you run out in the ON position.

Does your light not come on.
