Carb part (?) ID, please help!

Clif's notes- bike has been apart for far longer than I intended. Just got around to fully rebuilding each carb and racking them up. I have no extra parts, except this. It is made of nylon or some sort of stiff but slightly flexible plastic type material...

So, the Max got a stablemate on Saturday

I'm not sure if you'd call it a little brother or a big brother, but their intended design is very much the same. I haven't had much of a chance to ride it anywhere but my storage facility parking lot, but this thing is STUPID. A quarter throttle at 3k rpm in the first 3 gears sets...

I think the kids caught the motorcycle bug!

The little guy was all about the throttle on the Max, and my 12 year old actually fits on the Buell. Good times :biglaugh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nheXLc-0HNc

Atlantic City to Carlsbad in 14 days. On bikes built before 1917. What more do I have to say?! These pictures are from the day 1 finish line in York PA. https://photos.google.com/album/AF1QipMQpXj-lH4LhP5jgLqTjSHf-jVeNJhsQlmf4wpa

Well, it wasn't exactly a ride. But it was definitely an event! Oily Pipes 2016

Just thought I would share some pictures I took over the weekend at the Oily Pipes 2 stroke classic bike show in Blue Bell, PA. Unfortunately I opted to take the car down as it was 100 degrees and the forecast said 60-70% chance of thunderstorms. Of course that meant it was bright and sunny all...

My Max got a little brother last week

This is an example of why you don't browse local craigslist postings...things follow you home! What a different riding experience than the Vmax. It really highlights just how bad the Max is in turns, lol. I'd highly recommend throwing a leg over one of these if you get the chance. Great...

    Sheet metal air box cover

Just further proof that if left to my own devices I will putter around the garage until I run out of beer, lol. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and it must flow a TON more air than stock because now the stock jetting doesn't want to cooperate :rofl_200:

Got some new stickers for the tool box

Turns out they are nicer than expected. I was thinking they were just those little helmet stickers, but these are about the size of a dollar bill :eusa_dance:

Fantastic AMCA club show, very impressed!

I and a few partners in crime went to the Perkiomen chapter AMCA motorcycle show and swap meet on Friday. We all came away very impressed with the variety and quality of vintage machines. It really makes you realize how far the industry has come when you look at some of these 20's and 30's...

Stock exhaust from a low mile 2002

I have an excellent condition take off OEM exhaust for sale. Complete, with all hardware except for (1) 5mm x 0.8 bolt that broke off in the flange. I extracted the broken off portion of the bolt and chased the threads in the flange. If I can locate the bolt before it gets shipped out I'll...

For you fancy types, rear brake bar

Just stumbled across this today and thought it looked high quality for the price. My apologies if this was well known already! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Vmax-Tri-cut-Tuning-fork-rear-brake-bar-SALE-/322035711756?hash=item4afad2ff0c:g:dl8AAOSwT4lWTyY5&vxp=mtr

super ginormous windshield and sissy bar with package tray

Hi all, I've got a windshield in very good condition with all mounting hardware and bracketry that needs a new home. I'm unsure of the brand, but it appears to be of decent quality and the brackets were definitely made for a gen1 Vmax rather than a universal set up. There is a scratch towards...
