Recently obtained 2005 anniversary VMax. Road it around a few times to get the feel. Tonight took it to the freeway and let it rip in 3rd and 4th Vboost. What a blast. Got back to surface road and hit it in 1st gear a couple of times. Almost wheelied! Don't know why I wasted so many years...

Hey guys, I first posted about a month ago, looking for a 2005 Max. I found one out of state, popped for the bike and shipping and hoped for the best. Only 5000 miles and nothing major wrong so far as I can see. The dealership wasn't completely forthcoming as to a few minor cosmetic issues...

Do you have the mini (cl900) or the larger cl950? Do you need brackets, heat shields or any thing else to mount them? Thanks everyone, Don

I just bought a 2005 anniversay model for $5999. $6500 after tax and lic. Only 5000 miles. I would keep looking.

I think it varies state to state. I did have to pay Az. sales tax to the dealer.

I am another newbie awaiting the delivery of my Max. Naive question, but does the V Boost engage in all gears, or just start at 3rd gear? Sorry.

Just found my Max! 2005 #105 out of 2000. only 5000+ miles. Pretty stock. backrest and new tires. With tax came to $6500. Maybe could have found a local deal and saved some money, but I couldn't wait. Any Phoenix area riders out there?

Hi guys. I am thinking of buying a Max from a dealership that is too far to drive to. Anyone have any experience with this process? Am I crazy to even consider it? I am looking for a 2005 low mileage model and I know that there are obviously only a limited number that are going to be available.
