I am about to replace the coolant in my vmax. The manual says to remove the side covers off each cylinder then pull out the rubber plugs. I'm having problems with this. i remove the cover and behind i can't figure out how to get the plug out. it has a threaded metal center and a rubber...

So what kind of oil do most people run in their max. I did my first service at the shop where I got the bike, but plan on doing most of them myself. Just wondered if there was a specific type of oil out there that is better then others? I've read on a FZR sight I still go to that people there...

I am New to tuning bikes, ( a car guy). I have a 1998 MAX and it has a set of Kerker slip ons. Bike has stage I jet kit. I just removed the baffles on the mufflers to get that small block sound ( it worked btw). Now I am sure I am running little lean, but don't know how to adjust the carbs...
