Well i have the date for our 2012 VMOA Meet & Greet for Western Canada, Sat. June 9th. The starting place is Red Deer, Alberta. The exact point has yet to be set. If you are reading this and would like to donate something towards our ride, feel free to PM me. This Meet & Greet has grown each year, and i can see us increasing the numbers again this year.

Hm. That's only 15 hours or so from where I am at now.

Deffently will. It's a 2 day trip but doable. Hopefully I will have a new seat by then.

No idea if I will have the time off that far out but I can try.
 
you know it wouldnt be too unreasonable for one or a few of us to try to meet you some where. id be in. figure out an intended route and pass it along id try to meet you somewhere.

I'm not 100% sure I am in for that weekend until I get back to the states in April but I have the event on my radar.

It's been brought to my attention that the 2012 Western Canada Meet & Greet date: June 16th is Fathers Day weekend. This may pose a problem, So the new date is now June 9th 2012.
 
I have contacted http://www.thecrossingresort.com/ for our lunch stop, and they have agreed to offer our group a 20% discount off our Meal & Fuel. They have 2 different restaurants to choose from, so we shouldn't have a problem pleasing the fast food , or the dining room connoisseurs. I'm also working on motel discounts for Fri. night in Red Deer, and Sat. night in Calgary.
If you have any questions about the ride, please don't hesitate to ask.
 
Most of the details are in place for the Western Canada 2012 VMOA V-Max Meet & Greet. The ride starts in Red Deer, on Sat. June 9th. I have contacted The Best Western Inn in Red Deer http://www.bestwestern.com/index.asp and they have offered us a discount on our rooms for Fri. night for anyone coming from out of town. I have also been in touch with The Crossing http://www.thecrossingresort.com/ where we'll be stopping for lunch. They were generous enough to offer our group 20% off our food and fuel. After lunch we ride along the Columbia Ice Fields www.icefieldsparkway.ca towards Lake Louise for a great photo-op. Then onto Banff for our final fuel stop before we ride into Calgary for a well deserved rest at the Best Western Inn http://bestwesternalberta.com/hotels/best-western-village-park-inn/ . 10 weeks away, and we now are sitting at 17 confirmed bikes, we had 11 on last years ride. This is going to be amazing.
 
Hi everyone, well we are 10 weeks from the 2012 V.M.O.A. V-Max Meet & Greet. I have acquired a discount for motel rooms at the Best Western in Red Deer and Calgary. When we get back to Calgary the Best Western at 1804 Crowchild Trail NW http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/CA/AB/Calgary-hotels/BEST-WESTERN-Village-Park-Inn/Hotel-Overview.do?propertyCode=61027&cm_mmc=GooglePlaces-_-BW-_-AB-_-61027 will accommodate us. I only reserved a block of 6 rooms for each night. They are willing to hold them till May 8th. When you call to book your room, let them know you are with the V.M.O.A./V-Max group to get the discount. They are only holding 6, but if they are gone, you will still get a room at a discounted rate when you mention our group As it stands, we have 22 confirmed V-Maxes, and there will be some last min. guys there, so get your rooms booked early. If your wife/girl friend/sister, or daughter wants to join you, this ride is female friendly. The poster is done, and it looks awesome. I need a few people to help distribute them in their area to local bike shops. Please reply if you can help, and how many you'll need. Stay Safe
