86 FLYWEEL ISSUE

Hello,during the maintenance of the stator,pickups..I foun out this part in the flyweel that "is soft" ,anyone has and idea of what is it? I´m having problems with the ignition(check in the same forum "86´pickups",and maybe this has something to to with it..thank you very much for your support.

There is epoxy between the magnets. That should not impact it's running ability. The pickups work on the outside of the flywheel and are not very common to go bad on the early bikes. usually the CDI or the sidestand relay. The pickups can go bad but it's rare.
