Motor Numbers?

Have reason to believe that someone tampered with my motorcycle, so I need to know if there are any identifying numbers on my motor & where to find them. I appreciate any info & advice given.

There are no "jugs" on these engines. It's got the cylinders casted into the upper case halve. So, if the vin matches then you are probably at least stock on the engine main case sections (heads aren't numbered so those could have been swapped).

***Special Note*** IN later years not all the engine vin numbers matched the frame vin number!
