Speedometer Repair

Hello,my 86´speedometer input "square" fitting is damage ,Do you know if it can be opened and replace that part(looks like it is fitted by two philisps screws to the housing).
I have an European Km´s speedometer with 6000 km´s that I could swap the conection if it will posssible to "open" it.

I am not sure it can be repaired with normal means? Have you tried to wedge a sleeve in there to reduce the size and get a good connection again?

Thank’s for the reply…No,I did not..what I see is that the “entrance “ is rounded instead of square..I will try your idea and also to “force” the Speedo cable more into it,to get more “contact”,by the way,do you know what will it be a good price for a mph/km’s speedometer replacement?

Prices vary. I typically charge anywhere from $50-$200 depending on condition, year and mileage. Lower mileage is more cost and newer (04-07) is also a higher cost.
