Throttle cables

Good morning all...

Has anybody discovered a work-around / mod to eliminate the plastic slider box where the throttle cables join up?
This part is no longer available in United Kingdom.

Well,

Custom length Harley Davidson cables with long core length adjusters might work. Or you could fabricate suitable ones yourself if you have tooling to stamp the ends. If not, you could try using screw-on cable ends from rc industry (remote control) or from karting.

They invented 3-D printing just for things like this, my opinion.
