vmax 1200 mechanic suggestions

Hello all
bought a used vmax (01 carbon) yesterday. I think I need a carb clean on it, the throttle response seems was sluggish and the lumpiness of the engine quite noticeable (It was sitting for over a year). I'm also contemplating progressive forks and a front end rebuild. Does anyone know a good mechanic in the San Francisco Bay area?

I don't know anyone out that way but I do lots of mail order carbs.

Check out Race-Tech for fork springs, downtubes if yours are rusted, and pitted, they have valving kits too, which will make your forks work better than OEM.
