An 84 would be a rare Vmax indeed! I don't think he caught that they started in 1985. It would be interesting to know what the last numbers of the Vin are and the production month/year.
I have my first bike which was an XJ650LK which you should know about. I moded the heck out of it over the years. ALL of it to the power output lol. Maybe a paint job or two.
