I have a 2006 that seems to sputter with SuperTrapp pipes with 8 discs and what I believe is stock carbs. The bike had 6 discs when I bought it and 3 holes in the endcap. I replaced the endcaps with the closed ones. New plugs didn't help. It has 9,200 miles. Any ideas? Should I just take...

Well, I've got the dale walker pipes on, and supertrapp 12" aluminum racing series mufflers on. Morleys jet kit prolly going in tomorrow. Any one have any idea how many discs, and should I maybe go with an open end cap? I know the holeshot cans were straight through, so I figured ought not need...

I have 8 disc per side with a closed end cap.Would it change anything if i removed the discs and cap?Looking for a lil more tone or a deeper sound.While leaving the main baffle in place.Dont want to hurt power,Or to start retuning carbs.Will it hurt anything?Plugs are running grey.Getting around...

Ok I have a question. Is there an advantage to running 4 disc per side w/ out the end cap just open? Thats how my bike is I am wondering if I should just remove the disc or try to find the end caps . Anyone who may know please tell me I am interesting in knowing why the previous guy had it set...

ok, i got my system on and have tried it w/8 discs and w/no baffling at all. the latter bangs a bit at 8 grand, but pulls good up to that, so before i mess w/the carb, what is the best number of discs for power on a dead stock setup, that you guys have found?

These was my numbers last night was 103.64 hp 69.80 tq they couldn't put the sniffer on with the disc but my plugs are white so I'm sure I'm lean a/f turned out 2 3/4 numbers seem low it was 98 f

I. Bought a set off ebay with open end caps anyone ever ran these and what was the result did you run a jetkit what was your dyno numbers

I'm going to get one or the other this week, want to know if anyone has these and there thoughts on power gains . I know they both sound mean but are the ufo's worth the money, how much gains do the supertrapps give they say they are dyno proven but can't find any thing.

I've only had my Vmax for a couple weeks and initially had decided that I wanted to replace the Supertrapps that came on the bike with stock mufflers. Well, with my son's encouragement, I've decided that the Trapps aren't too loud after all. I'm really begining to like the sound of them...

Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you are running open end caps on your SuperTrapp slip ons? I've had the open end caps on mine for a couple months now and I cant decide if I like it or not. Maybe its just me but It seems like my bike ran a little better with 8 discs per side closed end...

Hey All, Now that I've got my bike to ride like I want it to, I am considering making it faster and pull harder. I know the exhaust in stock form is more restricted, so to fully benefit, I'm guessing I'd need to upgrade to a full system, and then do something like a stage 7 kit from Sean...

I have supertrapps on my bike, no stage 7 kit. Sounds great too. Previous owner told me that this bike has stage 7 kit, and pipes are synchronized with carburators. Are supertrapps good for any bike with or without stage 7 kit?

Has anyone changed the endcaps from the more standard closed endcaps to one of the optional open endcap designs? Does it change sound? I'd imagine its louder, but more importantly, does it increase/decrease the lower, boomy tones?
