Up for sale is a one original owner (who I got it from) that was a collector.

Original air in the tires still! Yes they are cracked and need replacing. I have ridden this bike around my parking lot through all the gears with no issues. Everything works as it should.

I replaced the battery and fuel filter and did a quick pea shooter and shotgun on the carbs.

This is the true epitome of the Vmax legend with low miles in unmolested form.

$6500 cash and bring a trailer (due to tires).

If you want new tires added, I have a no touch tire machine and balancer. I can install new tires at YOUR cost (meaning you pay up front for the tires, I will do installation for free). I can have new tires installed and waiting for you so you could ride this beautiful original survivor to its new home.

Text me five eight six six five one zero nine 14... NO phone calls. I do not answer the phone because of so many scammers. But after the first text back and forth we can make phone calls.

I have videos and can take whatever pictures you want of the bike.

Also straight up, I will NOT be checking this site often. I am a long time member, have owned 11 gen 1 Vmax's. Many of the "old" timers know me.

So great to see such a low mileaged untouched one. I'm a bit 'baffeled' on one part, did the '98's not come with black exhaust?

I think the 96 was black on black, 97 was silver with black exhaust and 98 was black with chrome exhaust.

C.C. mentioned, "it even has the original air in the tires!" That is referred to as an 'air fossil.'

When a time capsule is opened, depending upon how the time capsule is sealed, there may exist in the vessel an example of the atmosphere of the time when the vessel was sealed. Think of a copper box, soldered with lead. The air is reflective of the atmosphere of that time, if the box is hermetically-sealed, and that is maintained. I don't think the VMax mentioned is a good example of this. Somewhere along the ownership, I assume that air was added to the tires, contaminating the Japanese air from when the bike was built by Yamaha.

When word of a found time capsule is spread, universities want to draw-out that air so that it may be studied, giving us info about how the atmosphere has changed. That happened at a Midwestern university when an old building was being repaired, and a time capsule was discovered.
