a few years ago he was at a bike show I went to, he was meeting fans, I wanted to get to meet him and say thanks as he inspired me back in the day, unfortunately there was such a lot of people around him and I didn't have much time so never met to 'talk'

I never new of Eddie Kid by name . I know i have seen his work. Truly a trail blazer.

Fortunate enough to have met Eddie at a motorcycle gathering some years after his accident. Despite all he still managed to hug my missus and charm both of us with his smile.
The mishap was a tragedy for sure, and the feature on tv certainly was a tear jerker, but above all Eddie remains a handsome hero.

The guys doing the stunts first, like Eddie Kidd, gave everyone who ever-saw them live or taped, their money's-worth. I assume he had traumatic brain encephalopathy. He lasted a long time, post-trauma.
