fuel pump issues again? maybe?

so im ut riding yesterday, its 92 and humid here. Lots of stop and go traffic, ran several errands where the bike was off for a few minutes at a time, but the fan came on a couple times. Last time i started it, the fuel pump ran like crazy. Got home, turned the key on and off a few times, pump ran every time. Let the bike cool down for a half hour, went back out, and all is ok...?

Is it possible the pump just overheated? And is fine now? Anyone else have this happen?:confused2:

Already replaced one. Rode to work today, no problems. I'm wondering if the pump or the Relay maybe got hot. Hmmm...

Yes I had a similar problem but not temperature sensitive. If you have a good pump, then I suspect the same problem I had which is bad connections. I cleaned them up spic and span and used a bunch of dielectric grease. Problem resolved. Hope this helps.
