how do I remove the yoke/ u-joint ?

Hey All,

had hoped to post an intro thread with all work/ mods I have done since I picked up my 90 V-Max a few weeks ago; but I iz stuck.

Issue- oil leaking do to damaged oil seal (#18 on the middle drive gear 'fische)
In order to remove/replace it, I need to get the Yoke off.

-I have the swingarm off, and took the circlips off the Ujoint.

- I can't figure out how to take the u-joint apart any farther to get to the nut (#16 on 'fische)

any help would be most appreciated. I have the bike and myself in central NY right now, had hoped to ride around the lakes with my step brothers.

oooh oooh I figured it out!!!!!!!!!:eusa_dance:

not sure if this is the recommended method, but I got a 19mm closed end wrench under the yoke on the nut (holding the yoke in place)

The yoke /u joint is now off and I can replace the seal.

in the "oh-by-the-way" category, I bent the seal trying to install the royal/venture Diff with the Royal/Venture drive shaft which you all probably know is 1/2 longer than the stock one. :bang head:
