Thank you all for this Forum.
I will be researching for 2-3 months to pick my Vmax, I will try to spend around 4k+/- which appears to allow a wide range of years to choose from, the only tech thing I have noticed is that in 93' the forks were beefed up for stabilization at high speed. I see alot of bikes prior to 93' who's owners have already modified them as well as progressives on the rear.
I'm 51 now and had had many bikes in the past......79 XS 1100, 81 GS 1000, CB900---blah! and a 89 Ninja ZX10; Dirt rides include Suzuki TM 400's, Husky 360, IT425, CR500, Kaw 450, TT500, and multiple 250's which were always too slow. I love power and the Vmax has me locked and obsessive.
Any input anyone has as to making the right choice would be awesome.
My handle everywhere is "Maxxdog" after my late -great Rottwieller for 14 years.
Many thanks to everyone!

The newer you can afford the better. 2003+ have all the newest updates. I would recommend at least '96+ to gain most of the big updates.

Thanks,
What about this 4" rake on the forks and the 2" lowering? I see alot of that on moded Vmax's. Progressives in the real worth the difference shock wise?
There's some sweety pies out there. Gotta preference list of your idea of top mods to look for?
