Bros owned the V65 Magna from 84. Had HUGE Issues with the cam lobes lunching themselves. Retro fit from Honda was to install new cams with the lobes drilled for better oil lubrication. Didn't make a difference. Sounded like castanets not long after change.
Getting at the carbs were very difficult too.
 
I had a V65 sabre. After 2 sets if cam I got rid of it. Loved it when i was running good (most of the time). I remember hearing that Honda used cheap steel in the cams.
 
The Honda V4's made great power and sounded excellent too.

I saw what was probably the best looking Honda V65 Magna I have ever seen yesterday at my mechanics shop.... Flat full of chrome.

1984 Honda Interceptor 1000. Runs but needs carb rebuilt. Need space in my garage, First 600 takes it home.
